India's qualification for the 2025 World Test Championship final hinges on Pakistan's performance against South Africa. India must win their upcoming tests against Australia to stay in contention for the final.

The World Test Championship 2025 Finals is going to be an intense race, with India’s qualification chances resting on the outcomes of the crucial series. India’s fate depends on their performance in the final two Tests against Australia, scheduled for December 26, 2024, in Melbourne, and Sydney.

India must win both matches to secure a spot in the final, but their qualification hopes are also tied to Pakistan’s performance in their two-match Test series against South Africa. If Pakistan defeats South Africa, India’s chances remain alive even with a single win against Australia.

South Africa currently leads the WTC standings with a percentage of 63.33%. However, if they lose 0-2 to Pakistan, their percentage would drop to 52.78%, allowing India to overtake them if India manages a 2-0 series win against Australia.

This scenario would push India’s points percentage to 55.26%, securing a spot in the final. Australia also remains a contender, needing a clean sweep over Sri Lanka to keep their chances intact. Thus, Pakistan’s role is pivotal in determining the final qualification spots, with the WTC final set to be played at Lord’s next year.
