Gabba, Brisbane has been the ground for India and Australia where the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is underway. Rain disrupted the match, with only 13.2 overs bowled on Day 1 and most of Day 3 washed out. Despite the interruptions, Mitchell Marsh remains confident that Australia can still secure a victory, citing the two remaining days as sufficient for a result.

By the end of Day 3, India was struggling at 51/4, trailing by 394 runs. Australia’s first-innings score of 445 is a significant challenge for India, who need 194 more runs to avoid the follow-on. On this, Marsh said:

We’re always asking for the radar and what’s happening. Two days to go, I think there’s still plenty of time for a result.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are key for India’s survival, with Rahul unbeaten at 33. With Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy to follow, India hopes to salvage a respectable total. The series stands at 1-1, with the next matches set in Melbourne and Sydney.
