IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma Addresses Australian Rift Rumours and Talks Adaptability Ahead of Second Test
Rohit Sharma, the India captain, has addressed the rumors of a rift within the Australian team. After their loss in Perth, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazelwood blamed the team's batters for their overall failure.
The day after, Hazelwood was ruled out of the second Test due to injury. However, former India opener Sunil Gavaskar argued that Hazelwood was fit to play and wasn’t injured. Gavaskar suggested that Hazelwood might have been sidelined as punishment for blaming the team’s batters for the defeat.
On the eve of the second Test in Adelaide, Rohit Sharma held a press conference where he stated that he was unaware of any rift within the Australian team. He clarified that there was no tension or conflict that he knew of, dismissing the rumors. He said:
I seriously have no idea about it, what’s happening in their dressing room. When you arrive at a scene like that, nothing can beat that. Very pleasing to see the favorable result.
