The World Test Championship 2025 is getting exciting day by day as the standings continue to shift following the New Zealand vs England Test series. New Zealand clinched a massive 423-run victory in the third Test at Hamilton, their biggest-ever win by runs. However, despite this dominant performance, England had already secured the series 2-1 by winning the first two Tests.

The third Test saw England struggle to chase a colossal target of 658 runs, eventually folding for 234. Jacob Bethell’s fighting 76 and Joe Root’s gritty 54 weren’t enough to rescue the visitors. Mitchell Santner’s all-round brilliance, with scores of 76 and 49 alongside bowling figures of 4/85, earned him the Player of the Match award. This match was also a fitting farewell for Tim Southee, who ended his illustrious Test career with 391 wickets, second only to Sir Richard Hadlee among New Zealanders.
