Jasprit Bumrah, India’s legendary fast bowler, marked his 31st birthday in style during the ongoing second Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. The pacer unveiled a sleek pair of custom white sneakers adorned with his initials, “JB93” symbolizing the year of his birth.

In an interview with a news channel, Bumrah shared the story behind the unique branding. He said:

I was born in 1993, so that’s it. When I came into the side I wanted the No 12 … But at that time, Yuvraj Singh had that number. So for his seniority, I gave him that number… I chose this one.

Bumrah’s birthday celebrations coincide with a remarkable phase in his career. Following a 16-month injury layoff, he returned to lead India to the ODI World Cup finals, win the T20 World title, and push for a spot in the World Test Championship final.
