IND vs NZ: Rohit Sharma Overlooks Virat Kohli for DRS, India Lose Review in Pune Test
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma ignored Virat Kohli before taking a review against Devon Conway in the 25th over. The delivery by Ravindra Jadeja took a sharp turn missing the leg stump, due to which India lost the review.
During the second test match between India and New Zealand, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma ignored Virat Kohli before taking a review, which was unsuccessful. This incident took place in the 25th over of the day, when the set New Zealand opener, Devon Conway was on strike against Ravindra Jadeja.
Ravindra Jadeja bowled a flat length delivery ball to Conway, which he was unable to play and the ball clipped the pads. Although it was a big appeal by various players, the umpire was not convinced. Skipper Rohit Sharma went to discuss with the keeper and other players, but Virat Kohli was not convinced to take a review for the same.
However, Rohit Sharma took the review, where it was confirmed that the ball took a sharp turn and missed the leg stumps. Devon Conway has now established his innings and will be looking forward to building a stable partnership for the third wicket, with Rachin Ravindra, the Man of the Match for the first test.
New Zealand won the toss in the second test, and they decided to bat first. Ravichandran Ashwin was able to take two wickets for the team, dismissing Will Young and Tom Latham. But the team is still looking forward to the wickets of Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway, who could prove to be vital for New Zealand’s batting line-up.
