IND vs AUS: Yashasvi Jaiswal Reflects on His Century and Resilient Journey to Success 

Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a brilliant performance in the first Test in Perth, smashing 161 runs off 297 balls in the second innings. His century played a key role in setting a huge target for Australia.

Jaiswal played an uppercut shot over the wicket keeper’s head to bring up his century. As the ball flew, he wasn’t sure if it had cleared the boundary for a six or just gone for a four. He had to wait for the umpire’s signal to confirm whether it was a six, as the ball landed out of his view.

Once the six was confirmed, Yashasvi Jaiswal took off his helmet and celebrated joyfully with his arms raised. He blew flying kisses to his supporters and took a moment to savour his achievement. His excitement and appreciation for the milestone were clear as he enjoyed the special moment.

Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke about the moment when he reached his hundred: 

“Yes, it was (an unusual) way to bring up the hundred. In my mind, I was like, I will do this or that, and then suddenly, something happened, and I was like, oh my god, what should I do. So, I was like, okay, I will just celebrate, and I will enjoy this moment. I was blessed, I was grateful, I enjoyed it, this feeling will stay with me for a long time. I give kisses to all my loved ones, all my fans who have supported me. I just wanted to give them my love with the kisses.” 

Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke about his tough past, saying it gives him the confidence to tackle any challenge. He enjoys tough battles and is driven by a strong hunger to win, using his experiences to stay determined and resilient.
