Rohit Sharma entertained the press conference with his signature charm, answering reporters’ questions with energy and wit. The Indian captain’s lighthearted comments about his batting position and Virat Kohli’s weakness had everyone laughing. His playful approach and engaging responses made the session both enjoyable and memorable, showcasing his lively personality.

Rohit Sharma laughed when talking about Virat Kohli’s struggles with deliveries outside the off-stump but expressed confidence that Kohli would overcome the rough patch. He praised Kohli’s ability to adapt and improve while also confirming that he is fully fit and ready to play in the fourth Test. He said:

Kohli’s off stump… You only said he is a modern-day great. Modern-day greats figure out their way or the path (to overcome issues).

Rohit Sharma skipped the first Test against Australia to be with his family for his second child’s birth. Although he was expected to return as an opener, KL Rahul’s strong performance with a 77 in India’s win at Perth prompted a change, moving Rohit down the batting order to No.6.

Rohit Sharma’s move down the order hasn’t worked, with scores of 10, 3, and 6 in his last three innings in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Meanwhile, KL Rahul has capitalised on his chances scoring a strong 84 in the first innings of the drawn Test at the Gabba.
