Michael Clarke hinted that the upcoming five match test series in Australia could be the last for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, following India’s recent 0-3 loss to New Zealand at home. Both players have been heavily criticised for their lack of form, as they scored a combined total of only 184 runs across six innings against New Zealand.

With just one half century and a low average of 15.16, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, averaging 15.50 with a top score of 70, have sparked concerns among fans and former players about their form. Before the Perth Test, Michael Clarke suggested that their poor performance in this crucial series could lead them to consider retiring from Test cricket.

The pressure Rohit and Kohli has intensified with Australia’s strong pace attack, including Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood, ready to challenge India. However, Michael Clarke believes both players are suited to Australian conditions and is confident they will perform well in the upcoming Test series.

Michael Clarke stated that Rohit Sharma is one of the best Indian players against fast bowling. He highlighted Rohit’s skill in playing short-pitched deliveries, especially with his hook shot or lofting the ball over third man, making him a tough opponent for Australia’s pace attack.
