For the 2nd Test match between India and Australia, all eyes are on India’s captain Rohit Sharma as he returns to the lineup after missing the first Test due to paternity leave. India’s opening pair, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed in his absence, recording a historic 201-run stand in the second innings at Perth to secure a resounding victory.

Ahead of the pink-ball Test in Adelaide, assistant coach Abhishek Nayar stated that the management is yet to finalize Sharma’s batting position, emphasizing they will reassess after the upcoming warm-up match. In the statement given, he said:

It’s too early for us to think about that. We are just going to try and take this game and see how it goes. And then maybe come up with plans once we reach Adelaide.

The Indian team will face the Prime Minister XI in a two-day game starting November 30 at Manuka Oval, Canberra, to adapt to the day-night format. Rohit also addressed the Australian Parliament, praising the close ties between the two nations and their competitive cricketing spirit. As India gears up for Adelaide, their preparation and Sharma’s integration into the squad remain key talking points.
