The second Test between India and Australia is all set to start on December 6, 2024, at the Adelaide Oval. India, leading the series 1-0 after a 295-run victory in Perth, will aim to extend their dominance. Rohit Sharma, returning after missing the first Test due to the birth of his second child, is expected to bolster the batting lineup.

However, questions remain about his batting position, with many suggesting he might play at No. 3 to retain the opening combination of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal. KL Rahul, who scored 26 and a crucial 77 in the first Test, has been in fine form and is preparing for his first pink-ball Test. On this, KL said:

I have been told, but I have also been told not to share. You will have to wait for Day 1 or maybe when the captain comes here tomorrow.

Under Jasprit Bumrah’s sharp leadership, India’s performance in Perth was clinical, with both batters and bowlers excelling. Australia, led by Pat Cummins, will look to regroup and level the series, with their potent bowling attack ready to challenge India’s strong batting order. The day-night Test promises a thrilling contest under lights.
