After scoring only 96 runs in 6 innings against New Zealand, Virat Kohli is facing intense criticism for his poor form. Fans across the country are eagerly waiting for him to bounce back and deliver his best performance during the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Australian soil.

Sunil Gavaskar feels this is the ideal opportunity for Virat Kohli to get back to his best and shine in Australia. Known as a favorite destination for attacking right-handers, Australia could once again become a place where Kohli delivers match-winning performances and proves his critics wrong.

Sunil Gavaskar commented on Virat Kohli’s performance while saying:

Yes, I do. That’s because he hasn’t got runs against New Zealand. He’ll be very, very hungry. Even in that Adelaide Test match, where in the second innings we got out for 36. In the first innings, Kohli had got 70 plus if I recall correctly. Then he was run out. So, all the times he has played in Adelaide, he has got runs. So, clearly even here, even if it’s a pink ball game, that’s familiar ground for him.

With 1352 runs in 13 tests at an impressive average of 54.08, including six centuries and four fifties, Virat Kohli has proven he can excel in Australia. Sunil Gavaskar highlighted that Kohli has played some of his best innings at venues like Perth and Adelaide, which could help him rediscover his form in the upcoming test series.
