IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma’s Struggles Continue as Retirement Rumours Spark Speculation

Towards the end of Day 3, Rohit Sharma came in to bat at No.6 and managed to remain unbeaten at stumps. With India facing immense pressure, expectations were high for the skipper to step up and deliver a match-changing performance. Many believed he would take charge, inspire the team, and set the tone for India’s fight back in the ongoing game on Day 4.

Rohit Sharma began his innings with confidence, leaving deliveries well and hitting a superb cover drive. However, his stay was cut short by Pat Cummins and he was dismissed for 10 runs off 27 balls, including two boundaries. This was his third consecutive failure, putting the Indian skipper under scrutiny.

As Rohit Sharma walked toward the dressing room, he left his gloves near the dugout, just behind the advertisement board. This gesture sparked rumors about his retirement, leaving many fans curious. The incident led to speculation and fans quickly reacted with their own interpretations and theories online.

In the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, Rohit Sharma’s poor form has continued, with just 19 runs in three innings during the Australian tour. Having already announced his retirement from T20Is after the 2024 T20 World Cup, it wouldn’t be surprising if he decides to retire from Test cricket as well.
