IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma and Indian Batters Focus on Comeback as Gabba Test Approaches
After the Day-Night, which concluded in just two days and one session with Australia winning by 10 wickets to level the series 1-1, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma trained intensively at the Adelaide Oval.
Following the second Test of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Adelaide, the Indian cricket team went to the nets at the Adelaide Oval. They are focused on preparing for a strong comeback in the third Test at The Gabba in Brisbane, which is scheduled to begin on December 14.
During the Day-Night Test, Rohit batted at No.6, which allowed KL Rahul to remain as an opener alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, both openers found it challenging at the crease, prompting calls for the Indian skipper to return to his traditional opening role.
In the viral pictures and video clips, Rohit Sharma was seen maintaining his spot in the middle order. The footage showed Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Rohit batting side by side in the nets at Adelaide.

Rohit Sharma seems set to remain in the middle order for at least one more game, as indicated during India’s net session in the Adelaide Test on Tuesday. It was made clear that there would be no changes to the batting order from the Adelaide Test for the upcoming match against Australia in Brisbane.
