IND vs AUS: Ravindra Jadeja Faces Injury Scare as India Prepares for First Test Against Australia

Ravindra Jadeja was hit while batting in the nets during a practice session. One of the deliveries struck him in the midriff and caused him significant pain. The left-hander was immediately seen on the ground, clearly in distress, after the sharp ball reared up and made contact with him.

Ravindra Jadeja received treatment and fortunately recovered quickly. He got back on his feet and continued batting with composure, showing good form throughout the net session. His performance impressed the coaching staff, as he appeared to be in good touch despite the earlier injury scare.

Jadeja was the last Indian player to leave the nets. Before heading to the dressing room, he had a long conversation with coach Gautam Gambhir. He called off his net session with the bat and walked out, preparing for the first game.

Reports suggest that Ravindra Jadeja might not play in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, despite his expected key role in the series. The all-rounder has a strong record in Australia, but head coach Gautam Gambhir is reportedly keen on having Ravichandran Ashwin as the sole spinner, supported by four fast bowlers. Jadeja will be hoping to play a significant part in the series if selected later.
