On Day 2 of the Day-Night Test in Adelaide, Mohammed Siraj bowled an incredible yorker to dismiss Travis Head after his brilliant 140-run innings. This dismissal sparked a heated exchange between the two, drawing attention to the intensity of their rivalry and adding drama to an already thrilling encounter.

Indian fans, familiar with Australia’s sledding history, rallied behind Mohammed Siraj. Their support grew stronger after Siraj, in a conversation with Harbhajan Singh, accused Travis Head of lying about the incident during the heated exchange.

Travis Head admitted to using foul language toward Mohammed Siraj, confirming the Indian pacer’s claims. Despite the heated exchange and rising tensions during the match, both players resolved their differences afterward, sharing a hug and moving on from the incident with mutual respect and sportsmanship. He said:

He came out and just said [it was] a little bit of misunderstanding … I think we’ll move on. We’ve had a great week, so let’s not ruin it. It was fine. He said, “Why’d you swear?” I sort of said, “Look, I didn’t at first… [but] I definitely swore at you the second time round”.

The ICC might fine both players for their on-field clash, but Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood, Siraj’s former IPL teammate at Royal Challengers Bengaluru, defended him against Travis Head’s claims.
