Mitchell Marsh is the only top-order batter who hasn’t been dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah in the series so far. However, he isn’t taking it easy and plans to face the Indian pacer head-on. Most of the top order has struggled against Bumrah in the series and Marsh aims to tackle him effectively.

The all-rounder stated that if you try to just survive against Bumrah, you’re more likely to get dismissed. Marsh suggested that the best approach to tackle him is taking on the challenge and applying pressure with your method. Marsh said of Bumrah:

I think when you have the best bowler in the world and you are just trying to see him off he is going to have one with your name on it. I think it is about applying pressure with your own method and taking the challenge on. We know right now he’s probably the best bowler in the world. It’s just about getting up for that challenge. It’s a big series. You want to take the best in the world on. That is certainly my mentality. (I) look forward to facing him again.

He stated that he would remain true to his method, even if the Gabba Test turns out to be a low-scoring affair as indicated by past results. Despite expectations, he plans to stick with his approach and not change his style of play to adapt to the conditions.
