IND vs AUS: Brad Hogg Predicts 3-2 Victory for Australia in Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Advocates for Dual Spinners for India
Brad Hogg has predicted a dominant performance by the Australian team in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He believes Australia will “humiliate” India in the intense five-match Test series, showcasing confidence in their ability to outplay the Indian side on this major stage.
Australia’s last Border Gavaskar Trophy victory came in 2014-15 when they beat India 2-0 in a four-match series at home. Since then, they’ve struggled to win a Test series against India, both in India and on their home turf. This decade-long drought has kept them from reclaiming the Border Gavaskar Trophy, highlighting their challenges against the Indian team.
India has been dominant in the last four Test series against Australia, winning each by 2-1 margin. These victories have helped India retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy over the years. However, Australia will be eager to change their fortunes in the upcoming series and put an end to India’s winning streak by capturing the prestigious trophy once again.
The first Test match will take place in Perth starting November 22, followed by the second Test in Adelaide from December 6. After that, the remaining three Tests will be held in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, starting December 14, 26 and January 4, respectively. The series will continue across these cities, offering a thrilling contest between the two teams.
Many experts have picked Australia as the favourites due to their recent strong form and India’s poor performance in their last home series, where they were whitewashed by New Zealand. Brad Hogg also predicts a 3-2 series win for Australia, believing their pacers will overpower the Indian batters.
