England vs New Zealand: Young Talent Steps Up as England Prepares for Wellington Test with Same Playing XI
The England cricket team will stick with the same players for the second Test of the three-match series against New Zealand. This decision comes after the dominant eight-wicket victory in the opening game at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
The second Test in the series between England and New Zealand is set to begin at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on Thursday, December 6. In the Christchurch Test, debutant Jacob Bethell stood out with an impressive unbeaten 50 off just 37 balls during the fourth innings, helping England chase 104 runs in only 12.4 overs.
Playing at No.3 for the first time in his 20-match first-class career, Jacob Bethell scored 10 off 34 in the first innings but shone brightly in the second. His impressive debut has earned the 21-year-old another chance to bat at the crucial No.3 spot in the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington.
