Cheteshwar Pujara and Harbhajan Singh Support Rohit Sharma’s Form and Leadership
Rohit Sharma has been struggling with poor form for several months, facing challenges in scoring runs consistently. Along with his batting issues, he has also been criticized for some of his questionable decisions as captain, adding pressure on him.
Having shared the field with Rohit Sharma at different points in their careers, both Cheteshwar Pujara and Harbhajan Singh are familiar with his abilities. They have expressed their support for Rohit, believing he will regain form and perform well in the ongoing series despite his recent struggles.
Cheteshwar Pujara was asked about Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and batting. He expressed hope that Rohit will regain his form, believing it will benefit his leadership as well. He said:
Firstly, I would want Rohit Sharma to come back into form as soon as possible because when he will make runs, you will see the difference in his captaincy. Whenever a captain is out of form in batting, then it leaves an impact on the captaincy as well. I feel that whenever he will score runs, it will have a positive impact on his captaincy as well.
Harbhajan Singh believes Rohit Sharma must start scoring runs to make better on-field decisions. He thinks this will help Rohit concentrate less on his form and more on leading the team effectively, easing his concerns and enhancing his captaincy.
