Pant’s recent performances have been underwhelming, with just 96 runs across five innings in the series. His highest score so far is 37 in the first innings of the Perth Test. Despite these struggles, Pant is no stranger to success in Australia, having scored 720 runs at an impressive average of 48 in 10 matches. Known for his explosive middle-order batting, Pant will be hoping to turn his fortunes around in the fourth Test at the MCG, set to begin on December 26.
India, currently tied at 1-1 in the series, will rely on Pant to contribute as they aim to win the final two Tests and secure a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Pant, with a career average of 42.25 in 41 Tests, is keen to make a strong impact and help his team regain momentum.
