Temba Bavuma, the captain of the South Africa cricket team has been confirmed to miss the second and last test match against Bangladesh. According to reports, he has not recovered fully from his elbow injury, due to which he is not fit to play even the second match of the series.

Bavuma did some great improvements to his injury but the board has confirmed his unavailability for the test. On 25 October, the Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed this report by giving updates regarding his availability for the test. The second Test match between South Africa and Bangladesh will be played from 29 October at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Since Temba Bavuma won’t be available for the second and final test of the series, Aiden Markram will be again leading the team in the Test. Under his captainship, the Proteas won the first match against Bangladesh by a margin of 7 wickets. Bowlers like Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj did a great job for the team, taking wickets at a rapid pace.

Bangladesh was all out at the score of 106 in the first innings, which gave an advantage to the Proteas at the start of the game. Now, they will be looking forward to winning the second game and ending the series with a clean sweep. This has further enhanced their chances to play the finals of the World Test Championship in the Lords.
