The New Zealand Test team is set for a key clash against England at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, as Kane Williamson makes his much-anticipated return. New Zealand, riding high after a historic 3-0 whitewash against India earlier this year, need strong performances to keep their World Test Championship (WTC) final hopes alive. With only one series win in the past year, the team’s resurgence in India has reignited their campaign.

Williamson replaces Will Young, who was Player of the Series in India, while debutant Nathan Smith adds depth. Tim Southee, playing his final Test series, will lead the bowling attack alongside Matt Henry and Will O’Rourke.

England, aiming to recover from a 2-1 defeat to Pakistan, have included Jacob Bethell for his Test debut. The Bazball strategy will be tested on Christchurch’s bowling-friendly surface, where conditions typically ease after Day 1. The match kicks off on November 28, with New Zealand looking to build on their remarkable recent momentum in pursuit of a second consecutive WTC final berth.
