Kagiso Rabada scripted history in the match between South Africa and Bangladesh, becoming the fastest bowler to reach 300 Test wickets. He took the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim on the first day to complete this milestone, joining greats like Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel.
During the first test match between South Africa and Bangladesh, Kagiso Rabada reached the 300 Test wickets mark in his career. This match was being played in Dhaka, and Rabada reached the milestone by taking the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim in an excellent inswing delivery.
Rabada took his first wicket of the day to complete the milestone of 300 wickets, where the ball was a length delivery, which also took out two stumps. Mushfiqur Rahim also tried his best to defend the ball but it was too late. Eventually, Rabada became the sixth South African bowler to reach the 300 wickets mark in Test cricket. He has achieved this feat in 65 test matches with an average of 21.99.
He has also joined the list of greatest South African bowlers, which includes Dale Steyn, Shaun Pollock, Makhaya Ntini, Allan Donald, and Morne Morkel. Steyn currently stands at the top of the list with most wickets for South Africa in Tests. He holds 493 wickets in just 94 matches at an average of 22.95.

Not only did Kagiso Rabada become the sixth bowler for South Africa to reach 300 wickets, he crossed another milestone in this game. He also took the least number of balls worldwide to reach this historic mark. Rabada bowled 11,817 balls to reach the mark of 300 Test wickets, which is the fastest among all. Earlier, this record was held by Waqar Younis, the Pakistani bowler, who took 300 wickets in 12,602 balls.
Rabada has the highest strike rate for any bowler with 300+ Test wickets. He is the only bowler currently with below 40 SR in the list of 300+ wicket-takers.
