During the first innings, Pant was standing at 99 not out, and he stepped out to play for a six against the spinner Shoaib Bashir. This showcased that Pant is not just like the classic Test batsmen, dealing in singles and doubles, as he also brings down some thrill to the game with his batting style.
Another moment followed by his century that caught attention was Sunil Gavaskar, who said “Superb, Superb, Superb,” when he had completed his century.
