The second day of the second Test match between India and New Zealand started off well for the Indian team with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill scoring runs at the start. However, New Zealand was able to bring their spin attack well, as Shubman Gill lost his wicket to Mitchell Santner.

Gill got out after scoring 30 runs, which was quickly followed by the wicket of Virat Kohli. Kohli scored just one run off 9 balls, as he got bowled by Mitchell Santner on a low full toss. This type of wicket was not even expected by him, as it sent the Indian cricket fans to shock.

Santner and Phillips took three more wickets by the end of the first session. Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant gave some hopes to the fans, as they were able to score a few runs for the team. But unfortunately, both lost their wickets to the spin duo of New Zealand.

Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar are currently on the crease and will be looking forward to a stable partnership for the 8th wicket. New Zealand scored 259 runs in the first innings as Indian spinners dominated the game. Now, it is time for the lower order to show some patience and lower the trail for the Indian team.
