Starting Day 3 at 405/7 in Brisbane, Australia stayed in control, thanks to centuries from middle-order batters Steve Smith and Travis Head. Their efforts kept India under pressure throughout the game. Akash Deep, playing in place of Harshit Rana, struggled to make an impact and went wicketless on Day 2 of the Test.

Rohit Sharma showed frustration during the 114th over of Australia’s innings when Akash Deep bowled a wide delivery far from the crease. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant had to dive fully to stop the ball from reaching the boundary. This happened while Alex Carey was facing Akash Deep, adding to the pressure on India.

Rishabh Pant made a full-length dive to prevent a wide delivery from reaching the boundary, but Australia still scored two byes. Frustrated Rohit Sharma was heard on the stump mic jokingly asking Akash Deep, “Abe sar mein kuch hai?”. The commentators couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction.

A few overs after his earlier struggles, Akash Deep took his first wicket on Australian soil by dismissing Alex Carey at 70. Shubman Gill caught the pull shot at mid-wicket, helping to bowl Australia out for 445 runs. Deep bowled 29.5 overs, conceding 95 runs without taking more wickets.
