Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant had to dive fully to stop the ball from reaching the boundary. This happened while Alex Carey was facing Akash Deep, adding to the pressure on India.

A few overs after his earlier struggles, Akash Deep took his first wicket on Australian soil by dismissing Alex Carey at 70. Shubman Gill caught the pull shot at mid-wicket, helping to bowl Australia out for 445 runs. Deep bowled 29.5 overs, conceding 95 runs without taking more wickets.
