Retained for a massive ₹13 crore, Pathirana did not feature in the playing XI, raising eyebrows among fans. Reports now suggest that Pathirana might miss the entire IPL 2025 season due to an injury, though CSK has not made any official announcement.
Pathirana has been a crucial player for CSK since joining in 2022, known for his deadly yorkers and death-over expertise.
