Rajat Patidar, RCB's batter, named Tim David, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma as the top contenders for hitting the longest sixes in IPL 2025, leaving out Virat Kohli despite his 272 IPL sixes. Patidar, confident in RCB's well-rounded squad, highlighted balanced batting, bowling, and fielding as key to their quest for a maiden IPL title this season.
The IPL 2025 season is around the corner, and with the IPL Auction 2025 already concluded, excitement is building among fans. Rajat Patidar, a key player for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), recently shared his top picks for the longest six hitters in the upcoming season. Surprisingly, he did not include Virat Kohli, who has hit an impressive 272 sixes in his IPL career, in his list.
Instead, Patidar named Tim David, Jitesh Sharma, and Liam Livingstone as his top contenders. These players, known for their exceptional power-hitting abilities, are new additions to RCB’s roster and are expected to make a significant impact. He said:
I feel that one among Tim David, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma can hit the longest six this season. And DK bhai if you’re watching, you can keep a six-hitting challenge. Let’s see who hits the longest six. I personally feel we have one of the best sides. We are balanced and covering all departments from the top order, middle order, and finisher, If you look at the bowling group, we have covered everything and I did not feel like we’re lacking anywhere.
Patidar also praised RCB’s squad for 2025, describing it as balanced across batting, bowling, and fielding. The team has made strategic retention decisions and bolstered its lineup through the auction. As RCB continues its quest for a maiden IPL title, fans are hopeful that this could be the breakthrough year for the franchise.
