ENG vs WI: England Call Up Jordan Cox and Rehan Ahmed for West Indies Tour
Rehan Ahmed and Jordan Cox called up for the upcoming tour against the West Indies. Rehan is likely to miss the first ODI, as he's playing the Test against Pakistan, while Jordan Cox is expected to make his ODI debut.
England will be going against the West Indies for their upcoming tour to the Caribbean Islands. They will be going against the Windies for three ODIs and five T20I games. The series will start from 31st October, as the first ODI game will be played at the North Sound in Antigua.
Just a week before the first match, England announced their squad for the ODI series, where Rehan Ahmed, the leg-spinner, and Jordan Cox, the wicket-keeper batsman have also been included. Rehan Ahmed is currently playing the last Test match against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Due to this reason, he might be missing out on the first game against the West Indies.
On the other hand, Jordan Cox is also a part of the team against Pakistan but has not made his Test debut till now. He will be returning to the United Kingdom on 24 October, to depart for the series against the West Indies.
In a statement, the England and Wales Cricket Board said,
Jordan will leave at the end of today’s play and head home to the UK, before joining our white-ball tour of the Caribbean. Rehan will also join the white-ball squad at the end of this Test match.
