Who Won What? Complete Breakdown of IPL 2025 Award Winners
The Indian Premier League 2025 season finally comes to an end, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru ending its trophy wait, as Punjab Kings finish again as the runners-up. Several other awards have been claimed by the other players, who gave their best shot for the title but still fell short of the title.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have officially been crowned as the champions of the Tata IPL 2025, winning their first in four finals they have played. But this season has not just been one to remember for RCB and its fans, as we also saw fabulous cricket from other players, mainly youngsters. In this memorable IPL season for all the fans, let’s have a look at all the award winners and which player dominated the most.
Orange Cap
This year, the race for the Orange Cap has seen various ups and downs, but one player to remain consistent throughout was Sai Sudharsan, from the Gujarat Titans. He scored an impressive total of 759 runs in 15 matches with one century and six half-centuries, at an average of 54.21, showcasing his consistency in the shorter format.

Although the Gujarat Titans were not able to reach the finals this time, as they got eliminated in the Eliminator match against the Mumbai Indians, Sudharsan still dominated the run-scoring charts with a notable distance. He was closely followed by Suryakumar Yadav, who missed the Cap by 40 runs.
Purple Cap
One of the most underrated bowlers in the Indian Premier League 2025 season, Prasidh Krishna, won the Purple Cap award. Playing for the Gujarat Titans, Krishna finally got recognition for his efforts this season, taking an impressive total of 25 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 19.52.

Besides that, he also maintained an economy rate of just 8.27 and a strike rate of 14.16. His performances also played a crucial role for the Gujarat Titans this season, as Krishna also marked his comeback to the Indian squad, after finding his form back in IPL 2025.
Emerging Player
Several players have emerged in the IPL 2025 season, but none of them came close to Sai Sudharsan, who dominated for the Gujarat Titans with his batting skills. Coming off to open for the team, he showcased that the game is still in Gujarat’s hands if he is on the crease.

Although his team missed out on the finals, he still managed to gather more trophies for himself. Having scored more than 700 runs this season, he also got recognition from the BCCI selectors. As a result, he also got selected for the Indian team against England in the Test.
Super Striker
The TATA IPL 2025 season saw various batters dominating the tournament with their aggressive batting style, but among them all, Vaibhav Suryavanshi won the Super Striker of the Season award. The 14-year-old, bought by Rajasthan Royals earlier in the auction, has shown that he is the next big name in Indian cricket.

Scoring 252 runs for the team in just 7 matches, Vaibhav Suryavanshi held a strike rate of 206.55, with 18 fours and 24 sixes. He also won a TATA Curvv EV along with the prize money, which he surely won’t be able to drive till he reaches the legal age of 18. But the youngster has surely impressed every selector in the BCCI.
Fantasy King of the Season
Every IPL season also brings tons of opportunities for fantasy players, where they select their own playing XI to grab winnings across multiple platforms. This time, the Fantasy King of the Season award was won by Sai Sudharsan, who holds 1495 fantasy points in the 15 matches he has played.

Surely, it is challenging for enthusiasts to decide which player to pick in every game, but with the consistency of Sai Sudharsan, he became the top choice in Gujarat’s matches. This also helped him to take away another award in the IPL. 2025. Along with that, he was also among the top fantasy picks for every match played by the Gujarat Titans.
Super Sixes
Nicholas Pooran took away the award of Angel One Super Sixes of the season, as the Caribbean batter smashed 40 sixes in the 14 matches he played for Lucknow SuperGiants. He had an impressive start to the season, having an impressive strike rate and striking the majority of his sixes in the first few games.

But he encountered a slump in his form towards the middle phases, ending the season still on a high note with 40 sixes, followed by Shreyas Iyer with 39 sixes. Nicholas Pooran was able to score 524 runs for LSG this season, with 5 half-centuries, striking at 196.25.
On-the-Go Fours
Well, this is another award won by Sai Sudharsan, and having a look at his performances with the bat, it was clear that he won’t be going away with just the Orange Cap. Having scored 88 fours in 15 matches, he also won the Rupay On-the-Go Fours award, and the best part is that there was no other player who even came close to 80 fours.

This showcases the remarkable consistency of Sai Sudharsan in the shorter format of the game, as he played risk-free cricket for GT. Unfortunately, his team missed out on the finals despite his best efforts, but his form has given hope to both GT and the Indian team for a better future.
Green Dot Balls of the Season
TATA took a great initiative this season, for planting trees every dot ball this season, and Mohammad Siraj had the most dot balls, counting to 151 this season. After not being retained by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Mega Auction, Siraj went on to dominate with his peak performances coming for the Gujarat Titans.

In 15 matches, he took 16 wickets for the team at an average of 32.93, and an economy of 9.24 runs per over. The start of the season was mesmerizing for DSP Siraj, but he suffered from high run rates in a few games. This was still not able to stop him from being the bowler with the most dot balls this season, contributing to the nature.
Catch of the Season
There have been several tremendous catches even in the IPL 2025 edition, with one coming in the final by Phil Salt. But none of them could match the level of Kamindu Mendis for the catch he took off Dewald Brevis in the match against Chennai Super Kings.
Brevis had been the only set batter for the Chennai Super Kings in the game when he played a ball towards the long off. Although the ball was far away from Kamindu Mendis, he made a tremendous dive and took the catch with both hands, making it look much easier than everyone could have thought.
Fair Play Award
Chennai Super Kings, finishing 10th in the points table this time, got the first spot in the Fair Play award. The team maintained the spirit of the game, having the highest average fair play points per match, with various notable moments coming off their matches.

They had an average of 10.21 points in the fair play table, being closely followed by Punjab Kings with 10.18 average points. Finishing at the last spot in the points table with just 4 wins this season, Chennai Super Kings, led by Captain Cool, will now be aiming for their 6th title in the upcoming season.
Most Valuable Player
The Most Valuable Player or the Player of the Season award went to the Indian T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, for his excellent batting performances this season for the Mumbai Indians. There were hardly any games where he failed to perform well for the team, despite which he missed reaching the finals.

Suryakumar Yadav had a dream season this time, scoring 717 runs in 16 matches at an average of 65.18, with 5 half-centuries. He also became the only batsman from the Mumbai Indians to score more than 700 runs in an IPL season, breaking the records of various great players. Along with that, SKY also bagged 320.5 MVP points this season.
Best Pitch and Ground Award
Among all the other awards which have been won by the players this season, the Best Pitch and Ground Award was given to Delhi, or the Delhi & District Cricket Association. This award was meant for all the ground staff and officials of the organization, as they helped in conducting the IPL matches smoothly, maintaining their contribution to the game.

The consistency and safety standards of the pitch were maintained at their best across all the matches that have been played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the current IPL season. Although DC missed out on the playoffs, the matches played at their home ground always ended up being a thriller.
Prize Distribution
Last but not least was the prize distribution among the top four teams of the TATA IPL 2025. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, winning the cup for the first time, got the highest prize of 20 crore INR, followed by Punjab Kings, who ended up as the runners-up and took the prize of 12.50 crore INR this season.

Besides that, Mumbai Indians, finishing at the Qualifier 2 this time, also won 7 crore INR, and Gujarat Titans received 6.5 crore INR for reaching the Eliminator stage of the tournament. Every team played at its very best to reach the playoffs in the current season, as RCB did its very best to come out on top of them.
