Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been named in Baroda’s 18-member squad for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, starting Saturday across various venues. Pandya joins his elder brother, Krunal Pandya, who will captain the Baroda side in the prestigious T20 tournament.

Baroda is set to open its campaign against Gujarat at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The Baroda Cricket Association confirmed Hardik’s participation, stated,

Indian international star Hardik Pandya will join his brother and captain Krunal Pandya for Baroda. On behalf of the BCA President and Apex Committee Members, we warmly welcome your (Hardik Pandya) return to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

With Hardik already retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL auction on November 23-24 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he doesn’t have to focus on catching the eye of IPL scouts. Instead, his inclusion reflects the BCCI’s policy encouraging top players to participate in domestic tournaments.

Hardik’s return to domestic cricket will allow him to stay match-ready while also contributing to Baroda’s chances of securing a rare title. As one of the most effective all-rounders in international cricket, his presence adds significant firepower to the team, both with the bat and the ball.

Fans and selectors will keep a close eye on Pandya’s performances as Baroda looks to make a strong start in the tournament under Krunal’s leadership.

Baroda squad:

Krunal Pandya (c), Vishnu Solanki (v-c), Hardik Pandya, Jyotsnil Singh, Shashwat Singh, Shivalik Sharma, Bhanu Pania, Mitesh Patel (wk), Bhargav Bhatt, Mahesh Pithiya, Raj Limbani, Soyed Sopariya, Lukman Meriwala, Akash Singh, Atit Seth, Abhimanyu Singh Rajput, Ninad Rathwa, Chintal Gandhi.
