The IPL 2025 auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. Teams have already retained several wicketkeeper-batters, such as MS Dhoni, Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, Heinrich Klaasen, Nicholas Pooran, Prabhsimran Singh and Abhishek Porel, ahead of the event.

Robin Uthappa commented on Rishabh Pant, saying he could become the highest paid player:

How much? I would say between 25 and 28 crores. I think he will get the big bucks. He will be the highest-paid player, in my opinion, in this auction, and I think he should be. I am excited for him and I really want him to be the highest-paid player. I think he will augur the kind of price from a couple of teams for sure.

For the IPL 2025 auction, Punjab Kings have the biggest of 110.50 crore, while Rajasthan Royals have the smallest of 41 crore. Rishabh Pant, who was released by Delhi Capitals before the auction, was their top scorer in IPL 2024, scoring 446 runs with a strike rate of 155.40.

Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru might bid big for Rishabh Pant in the auction. Uthappa suggested that RCB could see Pant as a key player, possibly taking on both the roles of wicket keeper and captain.
