The ICC Champions Trophy tournament was originally planned to be held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9. However, the BCCI has declined to travel to Pakistan for the event. Reports suggest that India prefers to play its matches at a neutral venue, proposing a hybrid model for the competition.

The PCB is unwilling to host the tournament in a hybrid model, similar to the Asia Cup 2023, where Sri Lanka hosted India’s matches, including the final. This disagreement has caused tension between the two countries. The PCB has reportedly contacted ICC for further clarification on the matter.

The Champions Trophy tour will begin in Pakistan on November 16, with its first step in Skardu, a northern city. A PCB official confirmed that the tour will visit major cities where the Champions Trophy matches are planned to take place, despite the ongoing disagreement between the cricket boards.

Moin Khan raised concerns about the trophy tour, noting that the venue and schedule are still unclear. He also pointed out the uncertainty over whether Pakistan and India will play against each other. Khan called it strange to have a trophy tour without the schedule being announced.
