ICC Champions Trophy 2025: ICC Postpones Meeting to December 7th for Final Decision on Upcoming Tournament
The ICC has canceled its meeting regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Reports from Pakistan media suggest that the meeting, which was initially scheduled earlier, has now been postponed to December 7.
A meeting about the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was scheduled for Thursday, December 5th, at 3:30 PM UAE time (5:00 PM IST). The newly appointed chairman, Jay Shah, was expected to lead the discussions on the issues surrounding the tournament. However, the meeting has since been postponed and the details are yet to be finalized.
Just before the meeting was scheduled to begin, the ICC postponed it. As a result, it will take a few more days to reach a decision regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be held in February-March next year. The delay has pushed back the discussions on the tournament’s planning.
Reports suggest that the meeting was postponed after the decision was made by newly appointed ICC Chairman Jay Shah. This was due to the BCCI failing to respond to the PCB’s proposal, despite having almost a week to provide an answer. As a result, the meeting could not proceed as planned.
The meeting is now scheduled for December 7th and it is expected that the final decision regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be made on that day. Although there has been no official confirmation yet, the conclusion about the tournament will likely be reached during this meeting.
