However, the team bounced back strongly just four days later on March 29, also in Ahmedabad, when they faced Mumbai Indians. Continuing the momentum, GT went on a winning spree. On April 2, they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru. This win gave them confidence as they moved to Hyderabad for their next clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 6.

Once again, their all-round performance came through as they chased down 152 runs with 7 wickets in hand. Back home in Ahmedabad on April 9, GT faced Rajasthan Royals and delivered one of their strongest performances. GT won comfortably by 39 runs, showing their consistency. But the return clash against Rajasthan Royals on April 28 in Jaipur didn’t go their way. Despite putting up a strong 209 runs, the bowlers couldn’t contain RR, who chased it down with 8 wickets in hand. Still, GT didn’t let the defeat shake them. On May 2, back in Ahmedabad, they played Sunrisers Hyderabad and came out victorious again, this time by 38 runs after scoring an imposing 224.

Finally, on May 6, GT faced Mumbai Indians again and this time at the Wankhede. In a rain-affected game decided by the DLS method, Gujarat Titans managed to chase down the adjusted target and won by 3 wickets, marking their second win over MI in the season. So far, Gujarat Titans have shown solid form with 8 wins from 11 matches. With strong performances from both their batsmen and bowlers, they remain one of the top contenders in IPL 2025.

For the Gujarat Titans, the trio of top 3 batsmen, Shubman Gill, B Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler have been the backbone of their success in IPL 2025.
