At the mega auction held on November 24 at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, RCB added three players to their squad. However, they decided not to use the Right to match card option for Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell and also chose not to bid for KL Rahul.

In a fierce bidding contest, Phil Salt, the English wicketkeeper-batter, was signed for 11.50 crore after RCB outbid Kolkata Knight Riders. They also secured Jitesh Sharma, an explosive Indian wicketkeeper-batter, for 11 crore after a rough competition with Punjab Kings during the auction.

Liam Livingstone was bought for 8.75 crore, while Josh Hazelwood was signed for 12.50 crore after a competitive bidding war. On Day 1 of the auction, they also added pacer Rasikh Dar for 6 crore and leg spinner Suyash Sharma for 2.6 crore. They now have 30.65 crore left for Day 2.

Harsha Bhogle questioned the reasoning behind signing Phil Salt and Jitesh Sharma, to which Dinesh Karthik explained that having two wicket keepers is a valuable asset. He highlighted that both players bring unique strengths, especially with their batting abilities, making them important additions to the team.
