IPL 2025: Lockie Ferguson Joins Punjab Kings for IPL 2025 After Varied IPL Journey

The New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson has entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a base price of INR 2 crore. He played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the previous IPL season and will be looking to attract interest from teams seeking a fast bowler in the upcoming auction.

Ferguson has played for four IPL teams, including Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rising Pune Supergiant, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujrat Titans. He began his IPL career with Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017, playing 4 matches and taking 3 wickets. In 2018, he was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders.

During his three seasons with Kolkata Knight Riders, Lockie Ferguson struggled to secure a regular spot in the playing eleven. In his first two seasons, he played only 5 matches each year. However, in IPL 2021, he played 8 games and impressed with 13 wickets.

In IPL 2022, Lockie Ferguson was part of Gujrat Titans and played 13 matches, taking 12 wickets as the team won the title. In 2023, he was traded to Kolkata Knight Riders, where he played just 3 games before moving to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. In IPL 2024, he played 7 games and took 9 wickets.
