The game of cricket has seen Virat Kohli as one of the best players, whose talent transcends boundaries. Representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since IPL’s inception in 2008, Kohli’s aggressive and determined playing style has captivated fans worldwide. With 271 million Instagram followers, including legends like Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, Kohli’s influence stretches beyond cricket.

Tim Watts, Australia’s Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, expressed his admiration for Kohli, describing him as a player who “plays like an Australian.” He said:

I told @virat.kohli that I support @royalchallengers.bengaluru in the @iplt20 because it’s the only opportunity I get to legitimately barrack for him. I give him the highest praise I can offer any international cricketer when I say that I’ve loved watching him play because he plays like an Australian. Just not when he’s playing AGAINST Australia of course…

This admiration has even turned Watts into an RCB supporter, which he shared during a meeting with Kohli and the Indian team at Canberra’s Parliament House. Watts praised Kohli’s attitude and shared a selfie with the Indian star, cementing his fandom.

The meeting coincided with India’s pink-ball practice match victory against PM’s XI, showcasing Kohli’s leadership and India’s preparedness for the Day-Night Test in Adelaide. Kohli remains an icon of excellence and inspiration globally.
