Parthiv Patel Appointed as Mentor for Gujarat Titans

Parthiv Patel will be joining the Gujarat Titans team for the IPL 2025 season, taking up the role of the batting mentor. The reports given by Times of India claim that the former wicket-keeper for the Indian cricket team is expected to join Ashish Nehra to lead the Gujarat Titans team in the upcoming season.

This decision has not been confirmed yet but Parthiv Patel is expected to take up this role soon. Gary Kirsten was earlier the batting coach of the team but he left after being appointed as the head coach of Pakistan’s team in the white ball format. This event allowed Parthiv Patel to join the team as their batting coach.

The announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon by the official social media handles of Gujarat Titans. Parthiv Patel has been an experienced player in the Indian Premier League, having played for various teams like Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Deccan Chargers. For the past few years, he has been an analyst for the IPL and international matches and this time he’ll be coming as a mentor for the Shubman Gill-lead Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat Titans IPL Journey

Gujarat Titans played their first-ever IPL season in the year 2022, where under the captainship of Hardik Pandya, the team lifted their maiden IPL trophy. The team’s consistency even continued in the IPL 2023 edition, as they finished as the runners-up, losing the finals against Chennai Super Kings. However, after Hardik Pandya went back to Mumbai Indians in the previous season, Gujarat suffered a setback and finished at the 8th spot.
