LSG Set to Release KL Rahul Ahead of IPL 2025 Auction

In a recent report by IANS, it appears that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are likely to part ways with KL Rahul for the upcoming season. The wicketkeeper-batter is contemplating entering the auction following discussions regarding his future.

Since joining LSG before IPL 2022, Rahul has amassed 1,410 runs in 38 matches. In the 2024 season, he scored 520 runs in 14 innings, averaging 37.14 with a strike rate of 136.12. However, his team failed to make it big in the IPL 2024 as they finished at the seventh place in the Points Table.

There has been a strong word going around that Rahul really wants to enter the mega auction, as LSG may not retain him. Based on the outcomes from various discussions in terms of who will be retained or what price the retentions would be, one shouldn’t be surprised if Rahul enter the auction list.

Dhruv Jurel Aims to Enter IPL 2025 Auction

Similar to KL Rahul, Rajasthan Royals’ star wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel has voiced his intention to be part of the IPL 2025 Auction. While the Royals are keen to retain him, Jurel believes that with 347 runs in 22 innings and an impressive strike rate of 151.53, it would be wiser to enter the auction and secure a lucrative deal.
