Australian cricketer David Warner makes his Indian movie debut with a cameo in the Telugu film Robinhood, releasing this week. Captaining Karachi Kings in PSL 2025, Warner features in the trailer stepping off a helicopter. At the event, he thanked the cast and fans, even impressing with Telugu lines, saying, “Ninna Neenu Premisthunnanu”.
In the latest crossover between cricket and cinema, Australian cricketer David Warner is making his Indian film debut with a cameo in the Telugu movie Robinhood, set to release this week. Warner, currently captaining Karachi Kings in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), surprised fans by appearing in the movie’s trailer, where he steps off a helicopter while licking a lollipop.
At a promotional event alongside stars Nithiin and Sreeleela, Warner expressed gratitude to the filmmakers and cast, admitting he was nervous about entering the film industry. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is amazing, and I feel privileged to be accepted into your family”, Warner said.
He praised the hard work and ethics of the actors and assured fans they would “absolutely love the movie”. In a fun moment, Warner even spoke in Telugu, saying, “Ninna Neenu Premisthunnanu” meaning “I love you”. Interestingly, Warner’s years of TikTok dancing and acting might have been the perfect preparation for his big-screen debut. His poster was also released earlier this month, creating buzz among fans eagerly waiting for his cinematic appearance.
