After being the most expensive wicketkeeper signing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at ₹11 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, Jitesh Sharma is living up to expectations. Ahead of their clash with Delhi Capitals (DC), Sharma vowed to make M. Chinnaswamy Stadium a fortress like Chepauk is for CSK. RCB has won three out of four matches, with their only loss at home to Gujarat Titans. Jitesh has been impactful, scoring 85 runs in three innings at an average of 42.50 and a strike rate of 184.78.

His best came with a 40 off 19 balls against Mumbai Indians. Sharma, who had a poor IPL 2024 with the Punjab Kings, seems to have found form again. Backed by veterans like Virat Kohli, who has 1,057 runs against DC, RCB will aim for their first home win this season. With 2,710 T20 runs in 130 matches, Jitesh’s experience could be key as RCB looks to continue their strong start.
