Rashid Khan joins Oval Invincibles, while Trent Boult strengthens Birmingham Phoenix. The draft will finalize the remaining spots on March 12.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the retentions and direct signings for The Hundred 2025 men’s teams, with the tournament set to run from August 5 to 31. Headlining the signings are Steve Smith, who joined Birmingham Phoenix, and Heinrich Klaasen, now with Manchester Originals. Australia’s Marcus Stoinis joined Trent Rockets, while Kane Williamson signed for London Spirit.
Birmingham Phoenix retained Liam Livingstone, Ben Duckett, Trent Boult, Adam Milne, and Tim Southee, while London Spirit secured Liam Dawson, Daniel Worrall, and Richard Gleeson alongside Williamson. Manchester Originals retained Jos Buttler and Phil Salt, while Northern Superchargers kept Harry Brook, Adil Rashid, and signed David Miller.
Oval Invincibles strengthened their squad with Rashid Khan, Sam Curran, and Will Jacks. Southern Brave retained Jofra Archer, Tymal Mills, and Faf du Plessis, while Trent Rockets secured Joe Root and Sam Hain. Welsh Fire added Steve Smith to a squad featuring Jonny Bairstow and Tom Abell.
