For the Mumbai Indians in WPL 2025, captain Harmanpreet Kaur faced disciplinary action after being fined 10% of her match fee for showing dissent towards an umpire’s decision in a match against UP Warriorz at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The incident occurred in the 19th over when umpire Ajitesh Argal informed her that, due to a slow over rate, only three fielders could remain outside the circle in the final over.
Unhappy with the ruling, Harmanpreet engaged in a brief argument with the umpire, with teammate Amelia Kerr also joining the discussion.
