From Century Hero to Duck Dilemma: Sanju Samson’s Recent Form in South Africa
Sanju Samson became the first Indian to score two consecutive centuries in the T20I format, followed by two consecutive ducks. Fans react to his form as some expect him to perform well in the last T20I game against South Africa.
Sanju Samson, who came out to be the star of the Indian cricket team in the first T20I match against South Africa, has not been able to score runs in the previous two games of the series. Samson started the series on an impressive note, scoring his second consecutive century, after his previous century in the last game of the Bangladesh series.
During the third T20I match against South Africa, which could have been a series turner, Sanju Samson got out consecutively for a duck, this time being dismissed by Marco Jansen in the first over. This has also been the fifth duck for Samson in this calendar year, due to which he is the only Indian wicket-keeper batter to be in the record list of most ducks in T20I.
In the second match, he lost his wicket to Marco Jansen in a three-ball duck, which was reduced to a two-ball duck in the third game. However, fans have reacted to the recent form shown by Sanju Samson in the T20I format.
