Run-outs often lead to funny moments due to confusion, miscommunication, or sheer bad luck, but it’s extremely rare for a batter to return to the field after being out. This extraordinary incident happened during the third T20I in Kingstown, with Jaker being involved in this unusual and memorable event on Friday, December 20.

The Bangladesh batter impressed with a match-winning performance against the West Indies, but before his batting heroics, Jaker Ali showed true sportsmanship. In the 14th over of the third T20I, he chose not to run a third after noticing Obed McCoy injured. However, in the next over, Ali expressed frustration over a mix-up with Shamim Hossain during the Roston Chase’s delivery.

Jaker Ali was called back to the crease after Shamim was run out for just 2 runs. The clip of the mix-up is now widely shared online, including by Windies Cricket on their official X handle.

Jaker played a brilliant innings, scoring an unbeaten 72 off 41 balls, including three boundaries and six sixes, to help Bangladesh reach 189/7. Later, thanks to Rishad Hossain’s three-wicket haul, Bangladesh bowled out the West Indies for 109 runs, winning by 80 runs and completing a 3-0 series sweep.
