India is in a pretty strong position as they just need 4 wickets on the final day to wrap up the one-off Women’s test at Lords, & they’ve been in control from the start of Day 4. England limped to a halt on 130 for 6, with Amy Jones still at the crease & unbeaten on 52, but they still have a mountain to climb with 327 runs left to get & it’s now a pretty tough ask for them.

Yastika Bhatia really led the charge, putting India in a solid position with a brilliant 113. Not only that, but she also became the first woman to get a Test hundred at Lords, a really big moment for her. And Smriti Mandhana chipped in with a useful 70, while Richa Ghosh’s half-century was just the icing on the cake, helping to get India to 341 for 7 before they declared. India already had the upper hand after taking a 115-run first-innings lead, taking out England for a measly 170.

That kind of cushion gave them the freedom to really go after England & keep the pressure on. Sayali Satghare & Kranti Gaud picked up 2 wickets each before stumps, so England are up against it heading into the final day. Now India just needs one final push to get the win they so richly deserve.
