In the build-up to IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) received a major boost as all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy rejoined the squad after recovering from a side strain. Reddy, who played a crucial role for India in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy, was declared fit after passing a Yo-Yo test with a score of 18.1, well above the 16.5 threshold.

SRH celebrated his return with a high-energy video, showcasing his Prabhas-like entry, which quickly went viral. The franchise shared the clip on social media, creating excitement among fans ahead of the new season.

With IPL 2025 set to begin on March 22, Reddy is expected to be a key player for SRH as they prepare for their first match against Rajasthan Royals on March 23 in Hyderabad. The season opener will see defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders face Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Reddy’s fitness clearance is a significant relief for SRH, as he was initially doubtful after sustaining an injury during the England T20I series. Now, fully recovered, he will join the team’s pre-season camp and aim to make a strong impact as SRH eyes a successful IPL 2025 campaign.
