With the series already decided, New Zealand ended the T20I series in style by thrashing Pakistan by 8 wickets in the fifth and final match in Wellington. Chasing a modest target of 129, New Zealand reached 131/2 in just 10 overs, with 60 balls to spare. Tim Seifert was the star of the chase, smashing an unbeaten 97 off just 38 balls, including 6 fours and 10 sixes, at a staggering strike rate of 255.26. Finn Allen also contributed a quick 27 off 12 balls as New Zealand dominated from the start, scoring 92 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay.
Earlier, Pakistan struggled with the bat and posted 128/9 in their 20 overs. Captain Salman Agha top-scored with 51 off 39 balls, while Shadab Khan chipped in with 28 runs. James Neesham produced a match-winning spell, taking 5 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs. Jacob Duffy also picked up 2 wickets for just 18 runs.
